We are happy to announce that we have recently returned from a preliminary assessment trip in Belize. Our team visited Belize Healthcare Partners that is located in Belize City and La Loma Luz Hospital located in San Ignacio, Belize. We have discovered that they are in great need of spine care & basic medical supplies to support the continued care for the community in this region.
We have arranged a Dine to Donate event at the Downtown Denver Tavern ALL DAY on Wednesday, April 5 to support our Belize Medical Mission. Please print out the announcement at the bottom of the page or show it on your smartphone so we can receive credit. These funds will go toward sending a 40 foot cargo container by Project C.U.R.E. to La Loma Luz Hospital in San Ignacio, Belize. The average cost of delivering one 40 foot cargo container (includes procurement, processing, warehousing, domestic transportation, and ocean freight) is approximately $20,000. The average value of the medical supply contents of the container is $400,000-$450,000.
Our goal is to send this FULL 40 ft. container within the next 6 months once the necessary medical supplies are gathered from all over the United States. If you cannot afford to donate, we would greatly appreciate your thoughts and prayers for this endeavor. We are thankful to be able to support the people of Belize.
An open discussion about our future plans for Belize will be held on Thursday, April 6th @ 6:00pm. Please RSVP to info@spinecareinternational.org if you would like to attend. Further information will be given after your RSVP is set. Thank you for your continued support.
